TNT picks up Eric Dane, Adam Baldwin series ‘The Last Ship’; watch full trailer!

While you are going to be waiting quite a while in order to see “The Last Ship” premiere on TNT next summer, it feels at the moment as though it is going to be worth the wait.

Before you even know anything about the series, let’s start things off by talking about the incredible resume of the two leading men. First, we have Eric Dane in his first starring role since his departure from “Grey’s Anatomy,” and it is one that allows him to take on a different look and attitude from what we said from his famous “McSteamy” doctor Mark Sloan. Meanwhile, noted master-of-destroying things Adam Baldwin is coming on board after starring in a pair of fan favorite series in “Chuck” and “Firefly.” This one will likely not have its same share of silly moments, but it does still allow him to look commanding (which is always appreciated).

This project also has a big-name producer attached to it, especially in the world of television: Michael Bay. While the man is in fact polarizing, he does have quite a talent at the moment of producing commercial smash hits. This name alone may have been enough for the series to be picked up by the network, even though it is going to take quite some time in order for the show to be produced.
