‘Best Ink’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Anyone hungry?

On Wednesday night at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, Oxygen will be back with a new episode of “Best Ink” that unlike a few of the past episodes, is focusing less on an unusual tattoo style, and more on just unusual tattoos. Based on the preview video below, there does seem to be a common theme that runs through most of the skins’ wishes: Food … and animals.

There are a few pretty normal requests in here, in between someone wanting a dog and even a few relatively-tame food requests. Then, we have a guy who has already gotten a stick of butter inked onto his body, and there is a woman who literally wants a garter belt of bacon put on her. (The irony here? That Jarod, who is doing the tattoo, happens to be a vegetarian.)

Many of these tattoos are designed to be funny, which helps to create a little bit more of an understanding as to why so many random things are hitting the skin. As weird as we may find some of these things, in the end it is all about what the client wants, plus, who knows? There are probably a few tattoo ideas that we would want that would make some of these skins roll their eyes at us.

With the elimination of Dollarz last week, the competition is now at a pretty interesting place. Most of the contestants left do genuinely know how to tattoo pretty well, and have a substantial amount of experience until their belts (the metaphorical ones not made out of bacon). Jarod is probably on the thinnest ice out of everyone in the competition at this point, mostly because he has been in the bottom for two straight weeks.
