‘Hart of Dixie’ season 2: Prepare for the finale with May sweeps poster!

Are you ready to dive into some more “Hart of Dixie” fun? Let’s hope so, since the popular CW series is getting ready to kick off a run of great episodes leading up to their May 7 finale.

So what is the network doing to promote it? Well, they’re at least putting some new posters out there encouraging new viewers to “get hooked” on the show now prior to the finale. This was posted via TVLine, and the bad news is that these are basically the same characters stills that we have seen the show use since the very beginning. (After all, who wears sport coats and leather jackets to the pier?) While we know that taking new promo pictures can be an expense, it wouldn’t hurt the show to do so prior to the start of season 3 if and when the renewal happens … just as it also wouldn’t hurt to make the premise a little bit clearer for those who see this picture and don’t know what the show is about.

We should just be happy that there is any promotion going on at all for a show that has long been one of the quieter ones when it comes to press. Even with this in mind, though, “Hart of Dixie” has managed to remain a solid performer in its own right. It has been one of the network’s highest-rated drama series save for “Arrow,” “Supernatural,” or “The Vampire Diaries,” and does so without much promotion.
