‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Is someone leaving after ‘Shooting Star’?

Thanks to the “Glee” episode “Shooting Star” being handed out to the press Tuesday, it is fair to say that the interest in this episode has spiked to another level. Not only that, but there are at least a few more details that can finally be revealed.

As you may have suspected, there is a storyline that takes place in this episode revolving around the issue of guns at school, and it ends up becoming a very emotional hour of TV as the show takes away some of the musical numbers (though there are still some) and tries to tell a human story. McKinley High is the only setting for the hour, and there will also be some other stories that end up getting some time in the limelight, including whether or not Ryder Lynn is the victim of some elaborate catfish scam.

What may ultimately be the most interesting tidbit that we have to share right now, though, is that there is someone whose future in the McKinley universe may be in question by the end of the episode. We’re not trying to suggest that something tragic happens to them, but this is something to keep a watch on over the course of the hour that could suggest why they would want to exit stage right. It’s being described as a risky decision for the character, and one that will certainly require quite a bit of courage.
