‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Anna Camp books return as Steve Newlin’s wife
Remember those reports that Anna Camp hadn’t heard about whether or not we would be seeing Sarah Newlin again on “True Blood” moving forward? Well, it seems as though she’s spoken a little bit with producers since that time.
According to TVLine, the talented and in-demand actress, who has appeared as of late in such shows as “The Mindy Project” and “Vegas,” has signed on for a guest stint on the HBO drama as Steve Newlin’s ex-wife. While we’d like to say “poor Sarah” for the fact that her husband turned out to be gay, transformed into a vampire, and started getting frisky with Russell Edgington (though not necessarily in that order), you also have to remember that she was not exactly pure back in season 2 courtesy of some of her relations with Jason Stackhouse.
While we don’t necessarily expect Camp to stay along the series for long, perhaps she will help to tie together some of her story’s loose ends, and bring a new insight to the Newlin family in the wake of what has surely been a pretty chaotic past year.
We’re lucky in that we now know that “True Blood” season 6 will premiere on HBO on Sunday, June 16, so we’re not going to be forced into waiting for too long in order to see some more blood-sucking drama on the small screen. Hopefully, producers are also starting to think of some other callbacks as we are starting to near the endgame for this show.
What do you think about this glorious news, and do you expect more craziness for both Sarah and Jason? If you want to hear some of what Joe Manganiello is saying now about Alcide, you can do so just by heading on over to the link here.
