‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Jessica Sanchez, Casey Abrams
For this “American Idol” notes article, we certainly have a diverse crop of contestants to talk about. We have three artists from three different seasons, and all of them have news going on that is related to complete separate things.
Let’s start things off with Adam Lambert, who is going to be honored with something very prestigious at the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco on May 11, as he will receive the Davidson/Valentini Award, given to an open member of the LGBT community who makes great strides towards promoting equality through the world of media. In a statement, the organization’s Wilson Cruz had the following to say about why the “Trespassing” singer is a perfect recipient for this award:
“Adam Lambert’s continued success as one of the world’s best-selling pop stars shows LGBT people that they can be themselves and make it in a mainstream industry that many feel unfairly rejects them … Adam is fearless on stage and astonishes audiences in every country he performs in.”
Adam has performed at the Media Awards before, and you can check out some of his highlights in the video below.
Jessica’s honor – Meanwhile, Jessica Sanchez is also getting an opportunity to do something rather cool: perform in the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday. She actually did some campaigning for President Barack Obama this past election cycle without even being old enough to vote, and on this occasion, she will perform the National Anthem for our Commander-in-Chief and countless children and their families.
Casey back on the charts – Even though “American Idol” may be down in the ratings this season, the following is proof that results shows are still a great platform for album sales … even if you’re not even performing an original song. Casey Abrams came on the show last week and performed a Beatles cover to go along with the week’s theme, but even with that in mind, his self-titled debut still managed to return to the Billboard Heatseekers chart in the #1 position. Now, for some more promotion, we’re going to share one of our favorite songs for the disc. Go buy it!

Love Casey and glad he’s finding success. Adam Lambert is the best of the best. His voice is chilling with tone and emotion regardless of what he is singing. And seeing him perform live is an unworldly experience. You literally feel transported to another place and time where rock stars like Freddie ruled. Don’t miss a chance to see Mr. Lambert live; you won’t be sorry.

When Casey showed up on idol, I was ready to expect him not to have a Beatles sound or anywhere near. I knew that Casey would be himself. Record sales proved that people missed him and that they remembered his time with Haley Reinhart, as her sales were also active, and also any duet they did on the show or off. This only goes to show that some people who watch TV at night will tend not to keep in mind that you might get a label and make records. If people do not see you around their favorite nighttime TV period, and if they are not sociable on the internet, they may forget about you in time. These two have loads of talent and has to get out there more. Nighttime is the right time.

So proud of Adam Lambert he very much deserves this honor and much more. But what the heck re: Casey? He perf on AI last week and sorry but he “bombed” when he tried to sing that song. My whole feed were commenting and saying he’s not gotten better just worse. I also read TV schedule and he’s actually on next week again. Guess he’s label wanted to give him another chance. Hope he does better as I like him.

To GA. Jessica is pretty much perfection. The definition of imperfection is George W Bush. More vacation days than any president since Hoover 1020 days almost 3 years.Going to war with no exit plan. removing banking regulations and oversights. double the national debt all leading to the largest recession banking corruption housing crisis and economic collapse since the depression. Wait who was president when the depression began? Oh that’s right it was (R) Hoover.

I KNEW I’d find a flaw in the perfection of Jessica Sanchez if I waited long enough – She better not grow up to be a Democrat! :D
