‘Dancing with the Stars 16’: Lisa Vanderpump not trying to represent ‘Real Housewives’
One aspect of Lisa’s time on the show that has gone in many ways overlooked is that she is the first “Real Housewives” star to appear on the show, and for a time there were even rumors that ABC wasn’t looking to put anyone from that world on. So does representing that community in any way add to the pressure Lisa feels? Based on what she said to The Huffington Post in a recent interview, it doesn’t seem like it:
“I think we’re all individual characters. I don’t think it’s about representing the show. It’s about representing yourself, really, because we’re all so different. But I think it was an honor to be asked. I mean, even if I went home early in the competition, already I’ve had a couple of great fun dances, an amazing time, made incredible friends and being challenged in a way I never would have. It’s just been wonderful, really.”
Perhaps the best thing that comes out of this show for Lisa from a PR perspective is that she can actually show that there is far more to her and the other women potentially on the show than just people who want to cause drama all of the time. As for whether or not she will be around to show that off much longer, that is an entirely different story.

It’s certainly something to come on to a show and have a stigma hanging over your head. I think that Lisa is doing a fantastic job representing herself and her abilities. I was telling my co-worker that she certainly seems to be very charming and surprisingly funny. I never watched the Real Housewives series so I’m not sure what she’s like on the show.
