‘The Walking Dead’ season 3 finale spoilers: Robert Kirkman looks to the future
In going along with the latter point, executive producer and comic author Robert Kirkman teases to Rolling Stone that for the upcoming handful of episodes, we are going to see something that is a little bit of a shift when ti comes to focus:
“We’re not going to slow things down, but if I had a criticism of Season Three, it would be that we didn’t focus on character development … We’re going to try to step it up a notch in that department.”
We do think in some cases that Kirkman is making a risky proposition, since season 3 was from our standpoint the strongest of the series by a pretty wide margin. While there is a need for some character moments, didn’t Sunday’s episode deliver plenty of that with Daryl and Merle? Given all of the creative changes this show constantly makes us nervous, but then again they’ve been right with most of what they have done thus far.
What do you think about the idea of a more character-driven fourth season? If you want to read some more finale scoop from David Morrissey when it comes to The Governor, you can do so just by heading on over to the link here.
