‘Hell’s Kitchen’ season 11, episode 3 review: Who quit and who did Gordon Ramsay send home?
On tonight’s episode of “Hell’s Kitchen” season 11, even though the ladies won the dinner service and didn’t have to send anyone home, Gina and Nedra get into a wicked fight over the dinner service ending in Gina going to her room and slamming the door.
The next day Gina tells Chef Ramsay that she’s leaving the competition and he wishes her well before she packs her bags and goes home. She was clearly struggling with the dynamics on the women’s team, but it’s really unclear at this point if that was the reason why she decided to leave the competition or if there was another reason why she wanted to quit the show.
The first challenge is physical and requires the groups to work as a team – each team had 5 minutes to jump a wall, jump into a large lobster tank and grab as many lobsters as they can in the allotted time. The women ended up with 31 lobsters, but the men squeezed them out with 37 lobsters. After winning Ramsay tells them that was just the first part of the challenge, unfortunately Anthony twisted his ankle in a big bad way while scaling the wall. Anthony’s injury isn’t going to stop him from participating in the second half of the challenge which requires each team to clean and take the shell off of the lobsters perfectly. In the end the women won the challenge and were sent out of “Hell’s Kitchen” for the day to enjoy sushi on a luxury yacht complete with a massage while the men were punished by preparing the fish for dinner service.
At dinner service the blue team has sent nothing out to the diners in the first hour, because of Christian’s over cooked/ under cooked scallops. As the night goes on and no entrees have left the kitchen after 90 minutes, Chef Ramsay throws the entire team out. In the red kitchen Danielle and Mary were struggling with the lobster risotto and is subsequently kicked off their station. Susan ends up sending up raw lamb (which is what she also did in her signature dish) and Chef Ramsay kicks the women out of the kitchen and shuts down dinner service. Chef Ramsay tells both teams that they’ve lost and asks each team to nominate two people for eviction.
The women put up Mary and Danielle and the men nominate Christian and Jeremy for elimination. So who went home tonight? Chef Ramsay sent home Christian, but asked Jeremy to stay behind after everyone left to talk to him – what did he say to Jeremy? We’ll have to wait until next week to find out.
Why do you think Gina quit the show? Do you think Gordon Ramsay made the right choice in sending _____ home? Leave us a comment and tell us what you thought of tonight’s episode of “Hell’s Kitchen” season 11.
