NBC’s ‘The Office’ series finale spoilers: John Krasinski confirms last day of filming
If you have loved “The Office” at any point over the course of its run, then today has to be a very sad one. After nine seasons of laughs, moments that made you cry, and seeing Dwight Shrute humiliated on a near-regular basis, the show is wrapping up filming in the world that we like to know as Dunder-Mifflin in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
While we could go on now about favorite moments (Michael’s foot injury, Jim and Pam’s wedding) from the show’s run, we’ll do that in our retrospective as the show gets closer to its May finale date. For now, we’re going to keep it about the actors who are saying goodbye to the characters that they have grown with and nurtured over the years. Here’s what some of the show’s stars have written on Twitter over the past few days:
John Krasinski (Jim) – “Last day of shooting…”
Rainn Wilson (Dwight) – “Getting ready to go to work at Dunder Mifflin for the very last time. It’s a sad day for comedy. And paper.”
Jenna Fischer (Pam) – “I’m sorry I’m not tweeting more about The Office ending. We have just two more days and I’m trying to pretend it’s not true. #sad”
Ed Helms (Andy) – “Last day of shooting on The Office. Oof. Kind of hard to act and blubber at the same time.”
Kate Flannery (Meredith) – “Can’t believe this is the last day at Dunder Mifflin. Greatest desk job in the world! I’m one lucky TV drunk. Thanks to u all #theoffice”
Angela Kinsey (Angela) – “I am so tired but my brain won’t shut off. Lots of emotions today. Laughs and tears. Tomorrow is our last day. Very surreal. #theoffice”
Brian Baumgartner (Kevin) – “1. More. Day. Of. Shooting. Thanks to all the fans who stopped by to say hi the last couple days.”
Creed Bratton (Creed) – “Well I just heard this is our last day shooting. This is news to me. I’ve been memorizing this five page monologue.”
There’s not too much known about the end of “The Office” right now, at least except for the fact that the show is likely going to show us more of the documentary process moving forward. We see the premise being somewhat similar to how the UK version of the show ended, even if the characters are different.
