‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4, episode 17 preview: Klaus and Caroline time!

Just in case you thought Klaus getting close to Hayley was going to keep him from Caroline in any way, be prepared to be proven wrong. Next week’s new “Vampire Diaries” episode will feature Damon and Elena taking off to New York City to try and take care of some indulgences (and hopefully cure them in the process), but there is also going to be some action going on back in Mystic Falls.

So what will specifically be going down? As the sneak peek below promises, there will be some pretty substantial drama when it comes to Joseph Morgan’s character and his longtime unrequited love over whether or not she should really beat herself up over Tyler being gone … and whether she should hate Klaus for driving him away. Our Original hybrid tries to make a compelling argument for himself: Tyler had made it his mission to kill him off, so he was certainly entitled to do just about everything that he could in return to save his own life. How could she be upset at him? Well, to Klaus’ dismay she is, and she claims that she would love to get back to “spiraling.”

Unfortunately for Caroline, there is a problem that may cause Klaus to need to stick around for a little while, and it involves Silas. Just when Caroline tells the guy to go away, Stefan shows up and says that the current Big Bad of the season could be in Mystic Falls, and they are going to need every bit of help that they can get trying to track him down. So are we going to meet Silas anytime soon? Considering that there’s no word on if they are even casting him yet, it seems unlikely.
