‘Arrow’ spoilers: How the Huntress’ return impacts Oliver Queen, McKenna Hall
When “Arrow” returns to TV on March 20, it will be doing so with an episode in “The Huntress Returns” that in many ways speaks for itself. We already know that this woman is one of the most notorious villains in the world of the show, but the twist here easily comes with the fact that she is also a woman who Oliver Queen was at one point very much in love with. She is the only woman who has seen the real side of him other than Felicity Smoak, and while a part of us is still ardently pulling for something to happen there, it hasn’t.
So how will the return of the woman otherwise known as Helena impact what Oliver is trying to do now with his romantic life? Things with McKenna Hall have been going fairly well as of late, but executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells Zap2It this may not be permanent by any means:
“Oliver is really falling for McKenna, but he loved Helena … His feelings for her when she comes back are very conflicted and very complicated. There’s a lot of fun to be had with that little triangle.”
Will Helena end up hurting both Oliver and the woman he currently cares about? Considering that this is someone who is operating with a sense of reckless abandon, it’s possible. We certainly expect to see something rather crazy out of the Huntress here, if for no other reason than that we don’t know just how much of Jessica De Gouw we are going to be seeing moving forward thanks to her commitment to NBC’s “Dracula” series.
