‘The Bachelor’ finale rankings: is Catherine Giudici or Lindsay Yenter the favorite?
We have two weekends now to try and size up Catherine Giudici and Lindsay Yenter as favorites to win “The Bachelor,” and what we are looking at right now is certainly the most interesting race possibly since Jason Mesnick had to choose between Molly Malaney and Melissa Rycroft, and he ultimately ended up picking both at one point or another.
Both Catherine and Lindsay each bring something to the table for Sean: they are fun-loving, spirited people who do have strong beliefs and want to be in relationships. They also both made it to the finale despite not being favorites for the first couple of weeks of the season. For Jake Pavelka, Brad Womack, and Ben Flajnik, it was ultimately pretty obvious just who they were going to pick among their ladies left.
While this is a close race, we do believe that there is a favorite here for Sean … and we’ll check in here again next weekend to see if that status is still the same following the “Women Tell All” special.
2. Catherine Giudici (last week: 3) – If we are judging this choice strictly based on what we see on TV, you have to say for the time being that Catherine is the underdog. She failed to really have any noteworthy moments with Sean for almost the entire time that the two were in Los Angeles, and we’re not altogether convinced that she would be here had Desiree Hartsock’s brother not acted like a complete tool during her hometown date.
We do still think in some ways that Catherine would be the woman who would be the best suited for Sean. She is very positive, kind-hearted, and genuine, and she has also shown herself to be someone who takes matters of love and intimacy rather seriously.
1. Lindsay Yenter (1) – At the end of the day right now, what matters the most is what we see onscreen. Lindsay has been one of the first names called out during the Rose Ceremony each of the past few weeks, and her relationship with Sean has been almost bulletproof since the first night. They have a great physical chemistry, and they also have a great deal of fun together.
The only thing that could hold Lindsay back, however, are memories of the first night, and the possibility that Lindsay may actually be too much fun for him. While he also got along with him rather well, being the son-in-law potentially of a United States General may still be rather intimidating.
Based on everything you have seen at the moment, who do you think that Sean should pick? Be sure to vote in our poll below, and also check out some early scoop on the “Women Tell All” special over at the link here.

I hope that Sean learns something from Emily. All last season Emily was so attracted to Arie and couldn’t get enough of him and they had so much fun together. Then all she says is Jef is my best friend and Jef says she’s my best friend. Well this isn’t a junior high crush. This is life. Forever. Sean has both in Catherine. I wish Emily would have followed her true heart and picked Arie and had a fun life full of passion. I also hope Sean does the same. He cant get enough of Catherine but also has met his nerdy match. Just go with your true feelings. And don’t worry what others think. And it will all work out.

Obviously your article is playing the devil’s advocate because from the reader’s response you are way off base. Sean is a self professed nerd/dork. He has stated that he finds intelligence sexy. Of all the girls, ONLY Leslie and Catherine fit that bill – Certainly not Lindsay, Des or Ashlee. Catherine got his attention with her quirky notes and her smarts. Had Sean been a dolt like Ben or Jake he would have cut her loose a long time ago….I think she crept into his heart without him even realizing it and he will never let her go.

Its Catherine, its all over the internet. I liked Lindsay for him more. Catherine seems like a flake, and her sisters say she’s a slob, I’d believe them. Never go for the girl with daddy issues! Lindsay is from a stable home, and has it together, Catherine is a troubled girl hiding her character flaws as long as she can to get a ring from Sean and she will! Way to play the game Catherine, hope you get what you wished for. Now you need to actually commit and be there for Sean, its not all laughter and butterflies. Good Luck….

He told Lindsay she was like his best friend. But they sometimes seem ackward. Cathrines relationship seemed ackward and goofy too but he hung on to her for whatever reason over Des and Ashlee so she may not be the underdog after all.

Lindsay lacks depth, their conversations were shallow. Catherine is highly intelligent, she’s comfortable in her own skin, she’s driven passionate, & beautiful. Lindsay’s focus was more w/ the lip action(kissing)Catherine is perfect for Sean..

Catherine from day 1 had impressed Sean. Their relationship realistically & naturally evolved. Catherine made it clear to him why she was there, she stayed focused, & what they had was so very beautiful & refreshing. They’re both passionate, a great sense of humor & intelligent.Sean did mention that of the 3 girls left, his & Catherine’s lives were the most different, but they talked & he was happy w/ the response. The way they looked @ each other, their body language was screaming love None of the last 4 could ever match what Sean & Catherine obviously have together. Desiree was sent home because Sean said he asked himelf that betyween Catherine & Desiree who would he miss ? And the answer to Catherine not be there was a resounding yes to missing her. With that being said, if Desiree’s brother was not a factor, Sean would still have chosen Catherine over her.

Lindsay is just a safe bet. They appear to be too evenly matched or alike. I think that he would be bored with her, but that they would have pretty Sean/Lindsay children. He also will take a back seat in her family and be directed by her father. Catherine on the other hand is exciting, fun-filled, serious, a great match with Sean because she craves him, and I believe that he craves her. They will be a great couple and he will be a star in her family.

Anonymous you are so wrong. Lindsay is not Sean best match. How do you even know that she’s his best match when all they have done all season long is kiss. When they are not kissing they have nothing to talk about and they are so awkward at starting a conversation. Their date in Thailand on the beach they had nothing to say to each other. Also a couple episodes back when Lindsay was talking to Sean at the cocktail party She tried to have a conversation with Sean and told Sean that they couldn’t kiss but end up kissing instead because they didn’t have anything to say. We haven’t seen them connect emotionally or spiritually at all because they have only kiss. If you think that makes a relationship last and that is his best match then we have been watch completely different shows.

Mary – that’s not true. If they’re seen out together, ABC sues them. They can’t break their contracts, which includes being seen out together because that would ruin the show. Check your facts.

Catherine couldn’t even look him in the eyes while they were having the conversation about what her sisters said in Seattle. And what serious conversations have they had? Just because Lindsay’s father didn’t try to commit suicide in front of her doesn’t mean Lindsay and Sean haven’t had any serious conversations. Remember, for the first time all season this past episode, he finally brought up his spirituality. And who did he say he connected to it best with? Lindsay. He said “we connect so well physically, emotionally, and spiritually.” I’m not saying he’s not going to pick Catherine, because I think he is, I still think Lindsay would be his best match. Trust me, saying “you’re such a hunk” and “I like your beefy arms” does not make Catherine any more serious than Lindsay.

Through out the season I felt like all Sean and Lindsay did was kiss and when he gave the rose in ep 7 to Lindsay on the group date I was piss because I felt that Catherine opened up so much to Sean about her father and he didn’t give her the rose wtf! On her date in Thailand she and Sean had such great chemistry and Sean looked at her with love in his eyes. With Lindsay there were moments where I cringe because they were so awkward with each other and they really didn’t have anything to say to each other. Have you guys realized that with Ashlee and Lindsay, when they kiss Sean, he is always neutral and they would lean in for the kiss. With Catherine, Sean leans in more when they kiss. His body language is totally different when he is with Lindsay then when he is with Catherine. I haven’t seen any sparks with Lindsay although they do have a chemistry, I feel that if Sean picks Lindsay that they would have a 2 or 3 month relationship, and when the passion fizzle out they would see that they don’t have a lot in common. With Catherine I see a long lasting relationship that is fill with laughter, passion, and love. Catherine has a depth with Sean that Lindsay doesn’t.

I want Sean to have everything for a wife, and I think it would be Catherine. She understand him more than anyone else. Let’s hope that they will last forever. Sean and Catherine go back to your normal life together, away from the limelight. God bless you both.

Totally agree with you Rose.
Also when Sean told her she is smokin hot and that he’s the lucky one and he looked into her eyes and said “promise” she wanted to cry but held it in. Then you compare with Lindsay and how he responds ““I love hearing you say that.” wtf was that? You can tell he is just way more into with Catherine but she such a wild card. So with lindsay she is much a safer pick. He pretty much have to pick what is in front or take the leap of faith.

I think you are wrong. Have we been watching different shows. When you compare Lindsay’s date to Catherine it is completely different. When Sean was with Lindsay they had awkward conversations and even awkward kisses. There were moments of long silence because they had nothing to talk about. She is just too immature for Sean. With Catherine their conversations flowed easily and Sean was sneaking little kisses to her forehead and face. That’s when you know someone loves when the sneak those little gestures. You can see it in his eyes, they just light up around Catherine. He also said so many times how much he missed her and also said that Catherine gets him better than anyone else. They have this amazing chemistry. They can be so silly and fun and yet be so serious and intimate. With Lindsay I have yet to see them have a deep serious conversation.
