‘All My Children’: Susan Lucci still hoping to return for online revival
While we know that production is now actually under way on the revivals of “All My Children” and “One Life To Live” for The Online Network, there are still some questions out there about who could be joining such returning faces as Darnell Williams, Debbi Morgan, Vincent Irizarry, Lindsay Hartley, Jordi Vilasuso, Jill Larson and Thorsten Kaye to the longtime hit (which was canceled previously on ABC).
So is it possible that Susan Lucci could still find a way back to the show? While it originally seemed as though it was going to be unlikely, the legendary actress explained recently on “The View” that she would actually like to come back to the complex world of the show at some point in the future:
“I so hope that I can return … I want with all my heart to return to All My Children. I just don’t know the answer yet. But what I do know is that all of us — all of us — are working so hard to make that happen.”
The road to bring “All My Children” back to television has certainly been a rocky one, with one of the biggest roadblocks being attempts to get the proper clearances from all of the unions. Now that this obstacle is cleared, we are now in a waiting game to find out more about when the series will be back on the air. The show will have 30-minute episodes every weekday, and will air on The Online Network to go along with Hulu and iTunes. It’s a new way of watching soaps, but one that could also be the way of the future.
