‘Game of Thrones’ season 3: Notes on the Night’s Watch, the Greyjoys
Just in case you are interested in doing something completely awesome today, why not volunteer to take the oath of the Night’s Watch? “Game of Thrones” is unleashing all sorts of special features these days as a means to promote the upcoming season 2 DVD hitting stores on February 19, and the latest one may very well be the coolest. After all, how many opportunities do you really get in the modern day and age to be like Jon Snow and participate in the sacred oath of the Night’s Watch?
In the following (and most awesome) video clip below, you can see a sample of what HBO is doing with My Watch Begins, where you can literally record your voice and then have it played over the official oath-reading from Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) himself. Just in case anyone out there has a life dream to wander around Beyond the Wall and be celibate forever, then this video is definitely for you!
Next, we have an interview that should make fans of the entire Greyjoy family very happy. Flicks In the City (which does a pretty great at speaking to many actors from the series in unusual locations) recently chatted about Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) about working with Alfie Allen, some of her favorite scenes, and what the experience has been like reading the books.
There are no major spoilers here dropped for season 3, but she does allude to some of what is coming up across several upcoming seasons by explaining some of what people say to her when she is recognized about town.
Do you want to see yet another video featuring Harrington talking about filming season 3 in Iceland? If so, be sure to check out the story over at the link here.
