‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: ‘Scrubs’ alum set to romance Raj!

It’s about time that Raj found himself a love interest on “The Big Bang Theory,” and the woman playing her is someone that fans of great sitcoms probably know very well.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kate Micucci, whose most-notable credits include “Gooch” on “Scrubs” and Shelly on “Raising Hope,” is set to stop by the CBS giant for a multi-episode arc as a woman who will become close in some shape or form to Kunal Nayyar’s character. The biggest surprise to us here is that casting went for someone who was not a part of the show already, mostly because there were moments during season 6 that felt like Raj was being set up to end up with Sheldon’s assistant Alex.

Micucci will first appear during the Valentine’s Day episode airing the same day, which actually has a “Love, Actually” sort of feel to it in that there will be four separate storylines that play out over the course of the half-hour, and they will all likely be connected in some way. Most of the details surrounding this character are still under wraps, and what we are the most curious to see is just how she gets Raj to open up his mouth and speak to her.

Ultimately, we’re still not sure what to think about this casting. Micucci has a great catalogue of comedy work and is endearing to watch, but is it a little predictable what is going to happen? We personally see her finding a way to communicate with him via music, as this is something she has used heavily on some of her other shows. However, we would like to see a different side of her here, especially since it would be a chance for her to distance herself from some of her past characters.
