NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 4: Blake Shelton to get an assist from Sheryl Crow

The VoiceAll she wants to do is help someone.

Sheryl Crow, whose hits span everything from “Soak Up the Sun” to a cover of “The First Cut Is the Deepest,” has signed on now to officially be a mentor on “The Voice” season 4. So who is she helping? It’s none other than Blake Shelton! “Entertainment Tonight” reports that the pair are going to help evaluate during the Battle Rounds who is worthy of advancing to the knockouts, and who will be either sent packing or saved by another coaches. She joins Kelly Clarkson, Michael Buble, and even Blake’s own wife Miranda Lambert as singers who have helped him out in the past.

In a statement, here is what Blake had to say about getting the chance to work with Sheryl on the season:

“Sheryl Crow is one of the coolest people in the music industry and to have her as an adviser on my team is pretty darn cool.”

Isn’t it a little bit obvious that this statement came directly from Blake’s mouth? We don’t really know many other people who use the words “pretty darn cool” as a part of their everyday vernacular.

As for Crow, this is some positive news that is coming mere days after her ex Lance Armstrong publicly admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs during his cycling career. Crow has yet to address this situation publicly, and she also really does not have any reason to at all given that it has nothing to do with her life today.

This is also the second time in the past week that “The Voice” has been in the headlines, as the man accused of being the ringleader for the Manti Te’o girlfriend hoax reportedly auditioned for the show late last year.

What do you think about Sheryl joining Blake? We want to hear from you below!
