‘Happy Endings,’ ‘Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23’ pushed off Sunday nights
Well, that did not take very long at all.
Remember when ABC decided that they were going to air both “Happy Endings” and “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23” on Sunday nights in an effort to boost sampling for the shows? Well, let’s just say that the network is already making a move to abandon that and more or less run for the hills. A new press release for Sunday shows that the network is now going to air a repeat of “Shark Tank” in that spot, which to us really means one thing: the lifespan of these two comedies is more than likely at an end.
While neither show is formally canceled, it’s hard to see a program back at that is barely averaging around a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic; and as a matter of fact, these ratings are so low that we can’t see a network like TBS wanting to save them as they did with “Cougar Town.” The saddest thing is that these shows are both far and away better than, say, “The Neighbors,” but they just have aired this year at terrible times without the right sort of advertising.
Of course, if the shows do end up ending, there is one question that is certainly worth asking: is it possible that Damon Wayans Jr. could reprise his role of Coach on “New Girl”? He filmed the pilot while thinking that the odds of “Happy Endings” being renewed were slim, but then when the show was picked up for season 2, he went straight back to it and Lamorne Morris came in.
Do you think this move is a surefire sign that these two programs are at the end of the road? Be sure to share what you think below, and you can find out what the head of ABC has to say about the shows here.

Great news. HAHA I hate Happy Endings! SUPER annoying, self-indulgent banter between the characters. CRAPPY jokes, Sh1tty writing. Writers deserved it.

It’s absolutely crazy that this show was cancelled. It was the most creative, clever, TV show I have ever seen in a very, very long time! What is going to replace it, another boring, boring food show!! The ABC Network should shut down, they no longer have any shows worth viewing!!! They are the idiots who shut down All MY Children, for what, a boring cooking show!! They have no clue on what is worth watching, day or night.
