‘Glee’ season 4 song spoilers: Good news for Heather Morris, Melissa Benoist fans

Glee“Glee” season 4 thus far has really been all about trying to preserve some sort of delicate balance; which, as you would probably assume, is not always easy when you have a show that has so many moving parts in it and multiple settings. Some episodes are focused more at McKinley High, whereas others have put the New York setting in the spotlight to a little bit of a great ratio.

Based on some of the rumored songs that are coming out now (via Mjsbigblog) for the show’s “Sadie Hawkins” episode (its first of 2012) airing on January 24, it very much seems like we are looking at a McKinley-focused episode much like we saw with “Dynamic Duets” or “The Role You Were Born to Play” earlier this season. These may be frustrating to some people, but know this: based on the synopsis we already posted, Kurt and Rachel will still have a story (which makes this a little bit different than the two episodes mentioned above). There may just not be much in the way of singing involved this time around for them.

None of these songs have been confirmed yet, so be sure to take this somewhat with a grain of salt:

-Brittany (Heather Morris) and Marley (Melissa Benoist) will perform “Tell Him” by Vonda Shepard.

-Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) gets a much-needed solo in the “Jesus Christ Superstar” track “I Don’t Know How to Tell Him I Love Him.”

-Many of the McKinley boys will take on TLC’s “No Scrubs.”

-Marley and Wade / Unique (Alex Newell) will sing the Bruno Mars hit “Locked Out of Heaven.”

-Ryder (Blake Jenner) will sing the Flamingos’ “I Only Have Eyes for You.”

Given that the episode is all about a Sadie Hawkins dance, it really seem appropriate in many ways that so many of these songs are female-driven. We just hope that if this list sticks, that the story for Kurt and Rachel will be substantial enough to make up for the lack of music.

What do you think about these songs so far? If you want to see some new artwork for the show featuring none other than Sue Sylvester, you can do so over here.
