‘Private Practice’ series finale spoilers: Who’s getting married?

“Private Practice” is going to be saying goodbye after six seasons coming up during its January 22 finale, but the good news is that we know there will be some particularly lovely moments that happen before the final curtain is dropped … including a pair of characters tying the knot!

Speaking to TV Guide in a new interview about the final episode, Kate Walsh reveals that part of ending Addison out the door on the long-running ABC series is going to involve us finally getting the opportunity to see Addison and Jake walk down the altar, and for her to emerge as a married woman for the second time:

“I feel like the fans have been with us so long and Addison has been through so much torture, angst and suffering that I think it’s really beautiful to send her off this way … For me, it feels like I’m being sent off personally into the world. It feels very calm, peaceful and right and I was a little nervous, oddly. To be able to have this closing ritual, in a way, with all the cast is really important.”

Addison’s wedding has been coming in some ways ever since the beginning of the season, and while there were no guarantees that she and Jake were going to be together forever, it did feel as though her choosing him over Sam was going to be the last time the love triangle really played a major part in the overall story.
