‘Teen Mom 2’: Kailyn Lowry explains meaning behind new tattoo

Kailyn Lowry“Teen Mom 2” star Kailyn Lowry has some new ink, and thanks to social networking sites like Twitter, fans have an opportunity to take a look at what she’s had done and learn how much more she plans on having done.

Lowry’s three and a half hour tattoo started with a half sleeve on her left upper arm on the most tender part (the inside) and has three different objects (a pocket watch, a skull, and an anchor) interlocking with one another (and surrounded with flowers), each one with it’s own special meaning.  Kailyn spoke to Starcasm about her tattoo and explained the meaning behind her tattoo choices.  She said: “It’s an anchor (for all those who have kept me grounded through my journey with MTV), and the pocket watch reads 10:05, the day I met Javi. The skull is for my past (skeletons in my closet).”

Kailyn LowryThe photo that Kailyn posted on her Twitter account of her new ink caused a flurry of negative comments to come her way, but she didn’t let it bother her in the least, saying: “I love when people think I want/need their approval to do something.” The “Teen Mom 2” star also noted that her tattoo was fairly painful and that she got sore rather quickly.  She wrote: “I’m so glad I started w/the inside of my upper arm. Got sore quick& I don’t know if I would have finished if I started outside.”

There’s a brand new episode of “Teen Mom 2” on tonight airing at 10 p.m. on MTV, so be sure to tune in and see what the girls are up to this week.
