‘The Walking Dead’: AMC to air seasons 1 and 2 in black and white

Fans have to wait until February to see the second half of “The Walking Dead” season 3 and with such a huge cliffhanger left at midseason it is indeed going to be a long wait until it’s return.

With ‘The Walking Dead” series being more popular then ever before the masterminds at AMC have figured out a cool new way to bring the zombie experience to fans.  Beginning on February 14, 2013 (a wonderful way to spend Valentine’s day for all those anti-Vday folks) AMC will be airing all of seasons 1 and 2 of “The Walking Dead” in black and white at 6:30 p.m.  The idea behind the black and white showing of the series is twofold – AMC not only wants to give fans a new way to watch the show as a special treat, but they also are trying to give a boost to their Thursday night slot which is currently their unscripted block.  So how does ‘Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman feel about going black and white?  He is in full support and hopes that fans will enjoy watching the first two seasons in a new exciting way.

As for the second half of season 3, February seems like a very long time away to see what kind of damage the Governor and Rick plan on doing to each other now that Rick has disrupted the Governor’s town of Woodbury.  Will the Governor destroy Rick and his crew or will they find a way to hold strong at the prison?  The Governor and Rick still haven’t met face to face yet, making that episode of ‘The Walking Dead” the most highly anticipated among fans.
