‘Snooki & JWoww’ season 2 trailer: Is someone reverting to the old ‘Jersey Shore’?
If there has been one major problem with “Jersey Shore” season 6, it has merely been that nothing on the show really feels as authentic as it really should be. It’s more of the same topped with even more of the same, and the problems are especially noticeable now with a pregnant Snooki in tow. These are really just not those sort of people anymore!
Luckily, the second season of “Snooki & JWoww” is coming to MTV on Tuesday, January 8, and based on the first-look trailer below, it actually feels like we are getting a far more realistic show than anything MTV has put out featuring these people in the past. There’s no staging our two lead characters in some reconverted house and scrambling to find them something to do. Instead, we will be seeing the early stages of Snooki as a mom, JWoww’s relationship with Roger Mathews going to the next level, and how the two’s relationships as friends are changing.
The trailer certainly reflects better that these people are far and away different from who they used to be … but there is a little bit more of the old “Jersey Shore” mixed in here. At one point, we see Snooki fall on her face after a night of partying with her pals … which is something her fiance Jionni LaValle does not appreciate. Honestly, we’re surprised in some ways that these two have made their relationship work given how much Jionni seems to hate that the #1 woman in his life is still in many ways a party girl.
