‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Sean Lowe, Emily Maynard and a mystery woman

“The Bachelor” is still a month away from returning to ABC with new episodes, but for those of you who really cannot wait to see what happens when it comes to Sean Lowe’s journey to find the perfect someone, we have a few more details to share with you right away from the season premiere.

First things first, we should point out that the show is going to open things up almost immediately when it comes to Sean’s past with Emily Maynard, and this will be dealt with before the bachelorettes ever even arrive in the famous limousines. (So will a sighting of shirtless Sean.) It is basically the same sort of introduction as we have every year on the show, as Sean does his best to insist that he is a part of the show for the right reasons, and really wants to find someone to spend the rest of his life with. (It may sound crazy, but we actually believe him.)

This brings us to what is really our first surprise of the season: there are 26 women rather than 25! So who is this last mystery person showing up at the famous mansion? For the time being, we’re being asked to stay mum on that (mostly because we’re not here to give you contestants spoilers); all it is fair to say is that it is someone who fans of “The Bachelor” will know, and she is someone who is looking for another chance at love with a man she is attracted to. Much like the surprise guest from last season in Shawntel Newton, the women are not that excited to see her.

Sean will treat this first cocktail party a little differently than in past seasons, as he is going to hand out more roses throughout the night rather than have a major rose ceremony at the end; this may be a lead-up to what is going to happen all season long, as we have a “Bachelor” here who is far different than anyone before him.
