‘The X Factor’ UK: Gary Barlow still uncertain on future with show
Is Gary Barlow going to be sticking around “The X Factor” UK for another season? This has been the question on many’s minds for several weeks now, but fans of the former Take That frontman can take solace in one thing: he at least seems to be getting into the experience more this year than he did back in 2011.
In a new interview per Metro, Barlow makes it clear that really, the one thing that is holding him back at the moment when it comes to making a clear decision is something that is really rather simple: being able to figure out what to do while being exhausted due to the show’s rigorous filming schedule:
“At this point it feels like we’ve been doing it nearly all year.’ I mean it’s such a long show, even entertaining the idea, it’s just not the right time … We sit down in January and have a talk about what we got right, what we got wrong and where the future is but I have loved it, I’ve enjoyed it more than last year definitely.”
While not every “X Factor” UK viewer out there may necessarily be the biggest fan of Gary, there is one thing you have to give to him: the man is incredibly opinionated, and thus a great addition to the show. You want judges who will stand for something, and even though he often takes things a little bit too seriously, it’s always nice to have one of these in order to keep everything from turning into a laugh riot all of the time.
Do you think keeping Gary around and adding back Simon Cowell would make “The X Factor” UK a truly heavenly show next year? If you want to hear the latest rumors about Nicole Scherzinger’s own future on the show, you can do so over at the link here.
