‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 spoilers: Joe Manganiello’s new technique

Ladies of the jury … meet Joe Manganiello’s abs. We’ve already shared one sneak peek from Monday night’s new “How I Met Your Mother” season 8 episode that gives us some insight into how the “True Blood” star’s character of Brad plans to win his case against Marshall for a big pharmaceutical company; however, we now know that he also plans to know more beyond just what he obtained during his little spy session accidentally orchestrated last week by Jason Segel’s character.

In the new promo for the episode below, you can clearly see one other thing that Brad seems to be more than willing to put on display: himself. The actor’s abs are front and center in the clip, and he literally has all of the ladies eating out of the palm of him hand. The great thing about Manganiello as an actor is his willingness to poke fun at his own “stud” persona: this is something that he did effectively in “Magic Mike” over the summer, and now, he is doing the same exact thing here.

But will Brad actually end up winning the case? We better hope against it, mostly because it would mean likely the end of Marshall’s career as an environmental lawyer. At the moment, we cannot imagine the man being back up against the wall more if he tried, and he is going to need to scramble to figure out a way to claw himself out of this predicament. One thing is for sure: he can’t beat Brad in a flexing competition, and will need to use his brain.
