‘The X Factor’ USA: Lyric Da Queen on song switch; CeCe Frey vs. haters
Do you want to know a few more details about what happened behind the scenes following Wednesday night’s new “X Factor” USA episode? Luckily, this is where we come in with some brand-new scoop concerning what some of the artists who had polarizing performances had to say after the show was over.
First things first, we are going to be really upset if Lyric 145 goes home now that we know the full story about what happened to them this week. The trio was actually going to perform something that was more rooted in hip-hop with original lyrics, but as Lyric Da Queen explained over Twitter, they were forced last-second by production to switch over to an ill-fitting “We Will Rock You” and “E.T.” mash-up::
“UNFORTUNATELY EVERY CRITICISM THE JUDGES HAD2SAY WAS EXACTLY WAT WE WERE GOING TO DO! ORIGINAL LYRICS STR8 HIP HOP W THE BIGGEST DIVA OF ALL … WE GOT A CALL LATE NIGHT BEFORE THAT WE COULDNT DO THE SONG WE PREPARED THEN WE GOT A BRAND NEW SING TO LEARN JUS A COUPLE HOURS B4 THE SHOW.”
So how in the world did this happen? Basically, the process was something akin to the following: Simon Cowell and the group likely picked the original song with every intention that it would be cleared for performance on the show, but at the last minute this didn’t happen. Therefore, the group had to figure something out on the fly to perform for the show. Basically, Cowell does have to take the blame if the group goes home this week, mostly in that he should have steered them to something he knew for sure would be cleared.
As for another contestant in CeCe Frey, she and Demi Lovato seem to be firing back at L.A. Reid’s criticism that her dress was “ugly.” Lovato accused the music mogul of being “rude,” while Frey said that she both loved the dress and enjoyed the performance. Members of the CeCe Tribe likely can take some solace that #VoteCeCe was trending last night, but we saw via the results last week that many of the people tweeting are not necessarily voting, since none of Demi’s acts made it to the top four.
Do you think either Lyric 145 or CeCe could be going home this week?

I love lyric 145 they were far the best. They were the only reason I watched the show. I loved their energy and I like hip hop so it was refreshing to watch a singing contest with music that I enjoy. I won’t be watching x factor anymore the other w got a second chance for a sing off they were worse then lyric 145 I think they should have got to sing off too. I hope that lyric 145 will stay togetrher and I will buy their cds. They r great together

I thought Lyric 145 was one of the best. Such a shame that talent does not represent votes.

That is so messed up! I love Lyric 145,and the energy they bring and also there is nothing out here like them. They are fun, high energy ,likeable, and they are a hip hop group so the show has got to let them do hip hop songs! That’s like asking Tate Stevens to sing a hip hop song when he’s country. What you are doing to the is totally unfair!!!!!!!!!!!!
