‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Mary Margaret goes to war
Only on a show like “Once Upon a Time” can you see a character sporting a pink cardigan suddenly become a killing machine, but we are going to shockingly see this happen early and often during the next season 2 episode “Into the Deep,” which will air a week from Sunday. (The American Music Awards are going to be delaying the show for a good seven days.)
So why is Mary Margaret going to be using some of her fighting skills that she hasn’t quite shown off since her days as Snow White? Really, you have Cora to blame for this after she makes the decision to raise the dead (hooray, zombies!) in her latest measure to try and stop the likes of Snow, Emma, Mulan, and Aurora from taking off to Storybrooke. They already have the compass in their possession thanks to Emma’s battle with the giant, and they also do not have that pesky Captain Hook to worry about anymore.
After we just saw an episode that was geared almost entirely in Storybrooke in “Child of the Moon,” this one will thankfully give us more insight into what is going on back in the present-day fairy tale world. This has been a polarizing structure so far this season, with some viewers blaming the recent drop-off in the ratings on the fact that we are only getting to see some of our favorite characters in select weeks. Sadly, it does not look as though the Charming family will be reunited during this episode, either; instead, the real hope may come during “The Queen of Hearts” episode, which airs the week following this one and may give us more insight into why Cora is motivated to be the way she is.
Is this the side of Snow White that you much prefer to see?
