‘Private Practice’ season 6 spoilers: Finally … ‘The Next Episode’
Does anyone else feel as though “Private Practice” season 6 has barely even been on TV these days? If so, it’s understandable; in between Hurricane Sandy and the Presidential election, the show has not had too many opportunities to run new episodes as of late, and when you throw in an additional week for a debate leading up to the election, three out of the past eight weeks have seen the show preempted for something else.
However, Tuesday night sees the show return with an ambitious new episode fittingly titled “The Next Episode..” It is also an experimental hour shot in a documentary style, as we get an inside look from Sam as to how he sees his Seaside clinic, as he is being taped for some sort of reality show about the life of a successful doctor. In watching the sneak peek below, there are a few observations that are pretty easy to make:
1. The people running this documentary are about as superficial as they come.
2. Sheldon is extremely uncomfortable having a camera in his face, and he also has a tendency to constantly make himself look as though he is reading a script.
3. Sam does not want to talk about his personal life in any capacity … especially the fact that Jake and Addison are now together.
Even though everything is going to start out in this episode going according to plan, it is fairly clear by the end here that things will ultimately not work out that way. There will be an emergency, and eventually, most of these doctors are going to tire of having their every move filmed for the benefit of someone else.
