‘The X Factor’ USA notes: Khloe Kardashian, Britney Spears, One Direction
In going along with our “X Factor” USA rankings that were published over the weekend, we now have some more notes about some of the personalities that are going to be associated with the show this coming week away from the contestants.
Let’s kick things off here with new co-host Khloe Kardashian, mostly because the claims here are a little bit more of a justification for why Mario Lopez seemed to have more airtime than her during the first performance show last Wednesday. According to a report from TMZ, there were some issues onstage with the teleprompter that caused some elements of the live show to suffer, and this led to some confusion on stage. Now, it seems as though producers may be moving Khloe backstage, where she will be serving more as an interviewer … which makes some sense given that her best moments are typically on-the-fly.
Britney … the author – Britney Spears is already a singer, mom, and a reality show judge. Now, she may also be an author.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pop star is in talks with HarperCollins to publish an upcoming novel that is based loosely on some of her own experiences. In some ways, this enables Britney to channel some of her own inner demons while still being able to claim that the story is fiction … something that is a rather rare opportunity for stars these days. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Lauren Conrad are two celebrities who have done something new as of late, but neither of them are anywhere near as famous as Spears.
Finally, performance news – In case you have not heard, Simon Cowell is smartly bringing his global sensation One Direction to the show on Thursday night, where they will seemingly perform their latest hit “Live While We’re Young.” Just in case anyone in America needed another reminder that the groups category on this show is not a joke, here you go.
