‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ season 3 preview: Give peace a chance
In looking forward to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season 3, it’s not much of a stretch at all to say that there are extremely high hopes. While at times season 2 was horrendously uncomfortable to watch courtesy of Taylor Armstrong’s struggle and the death of her estranged husband Russell after filming, there were also some moments of levity, a few memorable fights, and more ridiculous examples of the 1% being the 1% than have been ever compiled on the show before.
Even though we are not quite sure that Bravo needed to make any changes at all to the cast, there are some coming up, anyway. Camille Grammer is now a part-time cast member, and Brandi Glanville (who was recurring last season) and new Housewife Yolanda Foster are each going to around on a regular basis. The previews suggest plenty of drama here, and that is definitely a good thing … as is the opportunity to really get to know what makes Brandi tick beyond just someone with an affinity for stirring the pot.
While there are some token villains on many versions of the franchise, what really makes life in Beverly Hills interesting is that for all the fights between Lisa Vanderpump and Adrienne Maloof, we also have a score of people who are genuinely worth rooting for. Armstrong is a comeback story for the ages, and Kim Richards is also someone on the road to recovery after her time in treatment. Even though these women may be among some of the wealthiest in the country, the fascinating part about this show in particular is that their real-world struggles are both relatable as well as ridiculous.
Do you think that there is some great potential for season 3 to deliver strictly from an entertainment standpoint?
