‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: ‘The Talk’ panelist to show off maternal side
“Glee” season 4 has just landed another bit of star power, and this time around it is coming to us via someone who already has a pretty substantial footprint in the world of daytime TV.
According to a new report from TVLine, “The Talk” panelist Aisha Tyler has booked the role of Jake Puckerman’s (Jacob Artist’s) mother for at least one upcoming episode this season. We first met Jake’s father last season, as the deadbeat dad who tried to get money out of his other son Puck. There are currently no plans for him to enter the picture here, but that could change at any given moment.
We do not know just yet what sort of context in which we are going to be seeing Jake’s mother appear just yet, but it would not be even remotely a surprise if it somehow involved some problems when it comes to discipline at McKinley High. Much like his half-brother, Jake has already established quite a reputation for himself as the token bad-boy of the school; and even though there is a heart of gold in there somewhere, he often tries to cover it up by rebelling against the establishment, acting tough, and refusing to go along with what he thinks is not “cool.” Maybe Tyler’s character will help to put him in his place … maybe.
For longtime fans of Puck, you will be pleased to know that he will officially be back for New Directions’ performance at Sectionals later this year. Jake will surely be a part of the group then, and who knows? Maybe they will cross paths.
