NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 episode 12 photo: Deeks, Kensi’s future
At the end of this past episode “Answers,” one of the things that we were seeing was these two characters making some more firm decisions on what they wanted their future to be. For the sake of Sunday’s “Groundwork,” we’re not sure that we’re going to get answers on Deeks and Kensi’s future with a potential baby. No matter what happens there, you will continue to have an opportunity to see the two of them doing some of what they do best — going out on cases and working together to make Los Angeles a better place! It may seem like a foregone conclusion that the two are going to work together in the field, but it hasn’t happened every episode. It’s something that is still worth excitement since there’s something so nostalgic and great about it. It gets back to what some of the ultimate essence of this show is for these two.
No matter what happens in “Groundwork,” remember that “Answers” as an episode exists for a reason. This is an installment that should be a springboard for the remainder of the season. With that, we have to imagine that there will be updates on all of the stories hinted at there, from Hetty’s future to Callen’s search for Anna, over the course of the next few months. (Remember that the schedule for NCIS: Los Angeles will probably be a little sporadic in there.)
