Legacies season 2 episode 8 promo: The Krampus & Santa Claus
While we’re sure that there are some ongoing storylines that are going to be featured prominently over the course of the next new episode, go ahead and know this: You’re also going to have a chance to see all sorts of nods to Christmas mythology. Take, for example, the presence of Krampus, a character who is not out to spread either warm tidings or give everyone free eggnog. This is a problem, the sort that could ruin everyone’s holiday season.
Yet, this promo does also present another reminder that some of these characters are going to be doing whatever they can to remain warm and optimistic this time of year, no matter the circumstances. Take, for example, Josie handing out cookies. (Or, is this really Josie? There’s something odd about the one-word, out-of-context moment that we have for her in this promo.)
Then, you’ve also got the presence of … Santa Claus. Or, at least we think that this is Santa Claus. When you think about all of the super-strange stuff that exists within the world of Legacies, we don’t have all that hard of a time buying into St. Nick as someone who actually lives and breathes within this world. This would give the show a little positive slice of mythology, as opposed to just every new supernatural figure being evil or ill-intentioned. (Of course, it’s going to be a bummer if Santa passes over some of our favorite characters … though we know that not all of them have been on the nice list.)
With this serving as the midseason finale, we’re sure that there is going to be some stuff throughout that carries over into the new year. That’s a part of what makes this show, exciting no? They always want to leave something dangling for whatever is going to be coming up next.
