Unfortunately, here is where we have to hand down some of the aforementioned bad news — there is no new episode of How to Get Away with Murder tonight. To go along with that, there’s no new episode next week, the week after, or even the month after that. At the moment, we’re in the midst of one of the biggest hiatuses we’ve ever seen for the show — we’re not going to see the Viola Davis series back on the air until we get around to April. Yes, that is exhausting. It’s also frustrating, given the way that the first half of the season ended.
If you remember (which we’re sure you do), the fall finale concluded with the news that Asher was the FBI informant who was killed. Yet, we don’t actually know the person responsible for the shooting. It looks like the feds are looking into Michaela, Oliver, and Connor at the moment, but there is no guarantee that one of them is the actual, responsible party.
Meanwhile, you also have the situation for one Annalise Keating, and it’s a crazy one. Did she fake her own death? We think that the show is, one some level, wanting us to think that is the case … after all, they are showing her trying to flee, or that’s what it seems. Then, you have the funeral sequence and the surprising arrival of Wes in the closing minutes. Whether or not that’s really him, and whether or not that is really a funeral, are some questions that the show is going to have to answer.
