Madam Secretary season 6 episode 8 sneak peek: Crisis preparation

Madam Secretary season 6 episode 8 is going to be one that could alter Elizabeth McCord’s legacy. She’s in office, doing her best to get work done, but also dealing with some fire coming at her courtesy of certain corners of the government. She’s having to deal with allegations of campaign finance violations, plus a wide array of other changes that put her at the center of impeachment hearings.

How rough could things get for Elizabeth? Rough. Think about it this way — at some point during this episode, you will see Stevie and Henry get cornered and possibly forced to testify. As you would imagine, that is going to be a stress for POTUS like no other. It’s going to make the hearings personal, but before even getting to that, there are some other issues that need to be taken on. That includes some subjects that are addressed fully in the sneak peek below as Elizabeth huddles with all of her advisers and tries to figure out the best way imaginable in order to take all of this on.

We’re still crossing our fingers and hoping for the best here with Elizabeth — if there is one thing that gives us hope above all else, it’s the idea that it would be super depressing for a show like this to end with her getting impeached. Isn’t one of the real goals of Madam Secretary to offer up hope in the midst of what is a super-contentious time?

As for what else is coming up, be prepared for a tech CEO to turn up missing, and that’s going to be a big deal. We’re talking, after all, about a very influential person … and then also someone who could be an asset to Elizabeth’s campaign moving forward. It’s going to be less than favorable for her to have to move forward without this person around, if she has to. Trying to get to the bottom of this could end up being a central cornerstone to this story overall.
