Then, there was also the surprise arrival at Annalise’s funeral — or, should we say, “funeral.” It doesn’t appear as though she is for sure dead, but it was Wes who turned up in the closing minutes! We’ve felt for years that this character is dead, but in the end, him being alive raises so many questions. Take, for example, simply this — how? How did we get here? How did this happen? We do think that he must have had some connections to the FBI or some other powerful people who helped to ensure that he could’ve escaped. (We know that Laurel claims that she wasn’t the mole, but that Tegan did her part in order to help her get away.)
Remember that How to Get Away with Murder is returning with some new episodes when we get around to April — it’s a lot time to wait, especially when you consider all of the crazy stuff that unfolded over the course of tonight. Wes being alive is only a small piece of the overall puzzle.
For now, we know that there are plans to get more to the bottom of what exactly happened to Wes — he has a role to play in the overall story. It’s really just a matter of how it’s all going to play out over the course of the coming hours.
