‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: New photo from Morocco filming

Even though “Game of Thrones” may now be through with shooting their third season in Northern Ireland, they are still hard at work in some other parts of the world, including a country in Morocco where much of the story involving Emilia Clarke’s character of Daenerys Targeryan is set to occur.

With this very much in mind, we now present to you the photo to the left from the show’s set there in the northern African nation, which is specifically in the city of Ouarzazate. (Thanks to Winter is Coming from bringing this photo to our attention.) It is not entirely clear just what scene is specifically being filmed here, but there are easily enough crew members here (in addition to there appearing to be a small army) for it to be a rather enormous scene being filmed. Of course, the joy of this crew is that they can make this small army of people look like far more than that just courtesy of a few smart tricks with the lens.

Morocco is the second-to-last country that the “Game of Thrones” production team is filming in at the moment, as there is a separate crew already working to get things prepared in Iceland for the storyline that will be filmed there featuring Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), Ygritte (Rose Leslie), and some other characters soon. All of this will of course be carefully edited together, and the new season of the show will premiere on HBO on March 31, a date that still seems so horribly far away.

What do you think of the setting for this scene based on this photo alone?
