Is Arrow new tonight? More season 8 episode details
Let’s get some of the bad news out of the way now: There is no new episode on the network tonight. This is the first mini-hiatus for the Stephen Amell series since it came on the air, and we do come bearing questions aplenty in regards to how the story is going to from here. To date, we’ve learned a couple of different things about season 8 — it’s about nostalgia, and beyond just that, it’s also about callbacks to previous seasons and making Oliver’s journey feel as full-circle as possible. In the first of the next two episodes, that will involved a journey to Russia. In the second of the episodes, you’ll see Oliver make a decision similar to one that he has taken on in the past.
Want to get a number of additional details on what’s coming up now? Then we suggest that you take a look at the two separate synopses that we have for you below.
Season 8 episode 5, “Prochnost” – DON’T LET YOUR PAST DEFINE YOU – Upon learning the key to oppose The Monitor (guest star LaMonica Garrett), Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team return to Russia on a mission to gather the necessary materials. Diggle (David Ramsey) reunites with a figure from his past. Laura Belsey directed the episode written by Benjamin Raab & Deric A. Hughes (#805). Original airdate 11/19/2019.
Season 8 episode 6, “Reset” – YOU CAN’T FIGHT YOUR FATE – After being double-crossed by Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson), Oliver (Stephen Amell) finds himself facing a life or death situation that seems very familiar. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) has the opportunity to make amends with the past. David Ramsey directed the episode written by Onalee Hunter Hughes & Maya Houston (#806). Original airdate 11/26/2019.
One of the things that we love about the second episode in particular is that it could be about Oliver coming more to the acceptance phase of his process. He may not have wanted to be in the position that he’s in, but he does recognize at this point that there may not be another path for him. This is the road that he’s on now and he just has to fight forward.
