Last Man Standing season 8: Terry Bradshaw stars in new promo
The new video below (courtesy of Last Man Still Standing on Twitter) aired during Fox’s latest Thursday Night Football broadcast, and it features none other than Terry Bradshaw alongside the likes of Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) and Vanessa (Nancy Travis). They’re all seemingly doing their part to enjoy the football broadcast … though the former Pittsburgh Steelers star has made himself a bit more comfortable than anyone could have expected!

Do we think that this promo is some sort of hint that Bradshaw is appearing in some form during Last Man Standing season 8? At the moment, we’re not really counting on it. This is more some brilliant cross-promotion on Fox’s part. The network knows that football is a great launching pad for a popular sitcom, especially when you’ve got a character like Mike Baxter who is such a football fan himself. Beyond that, including Bradshaw is a way to ensure that viewers glued to the game stick around and watch the ad even if they’re not a Last Man Standing fan. He’s been a staple at the network for a long time due to some of their pre-game coverage. If he’s on-screen, people watch.
Last Man Standing season 8 is going to give you a chance to see the next phase of the Baxter family’s lives, and while there may be some elements of change here and there, we don’t think there will be anything as radical as what we saw moving into season 7. The cast is more stabilized, and we’re imagining a series of stories all about family and some of the highs and lows that they tend to encounter. Oh, and of course a number of Outdoor Man-related hijinks.
