Outlander: See Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton on BAFTA red carpet
In the video HERE via the BAFTAs themselves, you can see Skelton alongside Balfe and Heughan talking about how long they have left to film. They made it clear that there are approximately three weeks left, which means that the cast will be done right before everyone in the United States will be celebrating Thanksgiving. They also talk briefly about Sam and Caitriona being producers on the new season, and all of the different struggles that come with working some of the long hours that they do — especially in the rain and the tough conditions!
We do wonder why Richard didn’t get a chance to be a part of this plus some other interviews that the cast gave that we saw. We have seen him do at least one interview separately, though, and maybe that is something we’ll get a chance to discuss in some upcoming articles. That’s one of the best things about the actors being at the BAFTA Scotland Awards — it gives us a chance to discuss a wide array of things, just as it also likely served as a welcome respite for the cast after everything that they’ve been doing in and around the set. We’ll cherish some of the press now given that otherwise, it may be 2020 before we get to see a whole host of interviews featuring everyone. (It’s possible that there could be a presence at the People’s Choice Awards next weekend, but it’s unlikely to be much of one given that the cast will still be filming. Getting to America for one night in the midst of production isn’t easy, and it’s already been done once recently for New York Comic-Con.)
