Mayans MC season 2 episode 8 promo: Is Felipe Reyes in trouble?

Let’s be honest — there has been a lot of chaos over the past week or so when it comes to Mayans MC on FX. After all, executive producer Kurt Sutter was fired by the network — Tuesday’s new episode was put together beforehand, but there’s still going to be a conversation around it. It’s the first episode since the news went down and because of this, we imagine that almost everything will be viewed with a slightly different lens.

Now, let’s get into talking about what you’re going to be seeing when episode 8 airs tomorrow night. At the center of everything seems to be the shootout that the Mayans got into on this past episode — in between everything that was going on when it comes to Adelita and then also the Galindo Cartel and Lincoln Potter, they may have let their eye off of the ball. There was another MC that encroached on their territory and while there, they set up a horrific operation that involved bringing people into the country, only to then imprison them as soon as they couldn’t pay up.

Rest assured, some of these people are going to object to the Mayans killing some of their own … and they’re going to make their voices heard on that in a rather enormous way.

As to what else is coming up within this episode, be sure to prepare yourself for Potter’s next move — digging into Felipe’s history. Could he use or even deport Ignacio Cortina if given the opportunity to do so? There’s going to be some pressure applied to him, and this could be the sort of stuff that leads to tension between Felipe and others. Think here in terms of Emily, as the two could be at odds within the episode.
