Emergence episode 5 return date: What’s next for ABC drama?
Let’s kick things off here, though, by bringing an answer to the big return-date question — Emergence episode 5 is going to be coming on the air on Tuesday, October 29. That means that there is no new episode planned for next week. There will still be an episode that airs, but it’s slotted right now to be a repeat. ABC is airing Halloween specials, followed by new episodes of mixed-ish and then black-ish, and then an Emergence repeat to round out the night.
What we’re hoping is that with that week off, viewers have a chance to catch up on their DVRs, ABC’s website, or Hulu — this is one of many ratings-challenged new series on the air, and the frustrating part of this one for the network is probably just the fact that it had so much promotion. For years now, just about every major broadcast network has tried to capture some of the momentum of Lost … to little or no gain. Probably the closest thing we’ve got to it right now is Manifest, which NBC chose to not air this fall for some inexplicable reason.
Anyhow, let’s go ahead and share the Emergence episode 5 synopsis, for those of you who have an understandably-deep curiosity into where this story is going to go from here:
“RDZ9021” – Jo is determined to prove Kindred was behind the attack on Benny and April. Meanwhile, Piper experiences intense, confusing visions on “Emergence,” airing TUESDAY, OCT. 29 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. Episodes can also be viewed the next day on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu.
So, in the end, we foresee things within the world of Emergence getting more confusing, for better or for worse, before they start to become clear. Maybe there will be a few little answers sprinkled in on Piper, but we don’t foresee the writers being in too much of a hurry to give everything away.
