NCIS season 17 episode 4 sneak peek: McGee’s horse humor

NCIS season 17 episode 4 is coming to CBS tomorrow night and through that, you’ll see a storyline all about evidence cataloging. Of course, it’s also tied to some events from the past few episodes.

While Ziva David is not going to have a physical presence within this episode, there are some other ways that she will factor into the story. Take, for example, how Vance is going to be punishing McGee, Bishop, and Torres for withholding information from him (pretty much lying to his face). You can see the aftermath of this punishment play out in the preview video that we have for you below, and it’s easy to see that no one is happy with their punishment – but that’s what you get for lying to Vance. They’ve got an important case to work on, and they’re finding themselves instead saddled with what feels to them like a distraction. That’s why they are pushing Kasie for some information on the case at just about every turn. Is there a way for them to both work on the case and also do some of their “punishment” at the same time?

Luckily, Kasie makes it clear to them that she has some info … and eventually, this leads to McGee making a silly joke about horses that were present at the crime scene. Only so many people on NCIS could get away with quality horse humor … and Timothy McGee is one of them.

While the majority of this sneak peek teeters in the direction of silly (which is something that we thoroughly enjoy from this show), rest assured that there are some serious elements to this case, as well. Just remember that at some point during this, you’re going to see the NCIS team try to help homeless veterans who are in a vulnerable state. This is working for a larger cause at hand.
