Suits series finale: Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, cast reflect in new video
In the video below, you can see actors including Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Patrick J. Adams, Katherine Heigl, Dule Hill, and Amanda Schull talk through some of their different emotions after being a part of this show for almost a decade. It’s a hard thing to say goodbye to — for people like Adams, it fundamentally changed his whole life! He admits that being on this show was a coming-of-age for him and now, he has a chance to go off and do a number of other jobs. For people like Heigl and Hill, this marked a chance to them to reinvent themselves and bring something new to their acting arsenal that they hadn’t done beforehand. (Hill has some experience closing out on a show on USA, as he was in a similar position back when Psych was airing its final season — though it still exists in movie form.)

As for some funnier moments, Adams jokes that he’s not going to miss the clothes. (Think about how sweaty and uncomfortable some of these suits get given how long the actors are forced to wear them. Meanwhile, Hill notes that the pancakes on the set are apparently phenomenal — who doesn’t love pancakes?
If most of this video doesn’t get you close to breaking down in tears, hearing Rafferty talk about why the show has been a blessing while getting choked up will. It’s a reminder that these roles have meant every bit as much to the cast as they do to the viewers watching at home. Maybe this show has been escapism, or maybe it’s allowed you to develop more of an interest in law. Maybe it’s allowed you to recognize your flaws and learn that it’s okay to have them — something that Louis and Harvey have especially learned over time.
