Chesapeake Shores season 4 episode 5 preview: Are Abby, Trace fulfilled?

Chesapeake Shores

Want to get a sense of what’s coming on Chesapeake Shores season 4 episode 5? Be prepared for an hour that’s about shifting priorities … and also characters trying to figure out if they are making the right decisions for themselves.

Let’s do our best to emphasize this mostly through the lens of Abby and Trace, mostly because it’s hard to not view things mostly through their lens. They have been the big foundational characters on this show, and it’s only inevitable that we look at their relationships … or in this case, relationships. They have started to chart a new future away from each other, but is this going to be what either one of them needs? This is probably one of those situations where they have to find out some of this stuff for themselves!

Below, CarterMatt has the full Chesapeake Shores season 4 episode 5 synopsis with some more information all about what’s coming (via SpoilerTV)

Trace (Jesse Metcalfe) and Abby (Meghan Ory) enjoy new relationships in “Chesapeake Shores,” but are not sure that they’ve found in their partners what they once had with each other in “All the Time in the World,” premiering Sunday, September 22, (8 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Channel.

After a stressful deposition, Abby reconsiders her priorities and the future of her career with Jay’s (Greyston Holt) support. Trace (Jesse Metcalfe) rebuilds his trust with Emma (Lanie McAuley) and reaffirms his commitment to Chesapeake Shores when he offers to buy Mick’s (Treat Williams) share of The Bridge. Jess (Lacy J. Mailey) and David (Carlo Marks) receive guests at the B&B earlier than anticipated but rally together to get through it. Kevin (Brendan Penny) and Sarah (Jessica Sipos) struggle to see eye to eye about what their future together holds. Nell (Diane Ladd) offers advice to both Mick and Megan (Barbara Niven) when they encounter issues in their newly rekindled relationship. Meanwhile, Bree (Emilie Ullerup) prepares for the premiere of her play, and Connor (Andrew Francis) pursues a new job.

There’s some information in here that makes us think that Trace and Abby may still have a future, given that we’re seeing him work to put down more roots there. Meanwhile, there’s some clear relationship drama that is happening elsewhere, whether it be for Mick and Megan or then what’s going on with Kevin and Sarah. This is season 4 — that’s enough time for characters to look towards whatever the future holds.
