Chesapeake Shores season 4 episode 4: What’s next for Abby, Trace

You’re going to see Trace and Abby spend some time together, but not in the way that you would expect. Abby’s working to move forward in her life, and we’ve seen what that entails courtesy of her finding a new love interest. Now, Trace is going to meet her, and that could lead to a variety of questions as to what he should do from there.

STUDIO CITY, CA – August 7, 2019 – The chance of offstage drama grows on “Chesapeake Shores” when both Trace (Jesse Metcalfe) and Abby (Meghan Ory) volunteer at the school play in “Breaking Hearts and Playing Parts,” premiering Sunday, September 15, (8 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Channel. While the pair works on Caitlyn (Abbie Magnuson) and Carrie’s (Kayden Magnuson) school play, Trace comes face to face with a new man in Abby’s (Meghan Ory) life. Seeing that Abby may have already moved on, Trace considers moving on himself. While trying to save his business, Mick (Treat Williams) falls into old habits of prioritizing work over Megan (Barbara Niven) as the two explore rekindling their romance.

When faced with a difficult decision, Connor (Andrew Francis) turns to Nell (Diane Ladd) for relationship advice. Jess (Laci J. Mailey) and David (Carlo Marks) butt heads on design decisions, wanting to make their new B&B reflect both of them. In the wake of a big change in her personal life, Bree (Emilie Ullerup) struggles to rewrite the ending of her play. Meanwhile, Kevin (Brendan Penny) and Sarah (Jessica Sipos) share a big announcement with the O’Briens, which they receive with less enthusiasm than expected.

A part of what makes Chesapeake Shores exciting as a series is that you always tend to have a couple dozen things all happening all at one time. This is a show where you’ve got romance, business dealings between characters, introspection, and tears. We do think that there’s still a chance at something more happening with Trace and Abby in the future, but there are a lot of different obstacles that they may need to overcome first.
