Power season 6 episode 3 preview: Is Ghost running out of money?

As we prepare for Power season 6 episode 3 to air on Starz next week, you best believe that there are going to be more problems coming. How can there not be? Ghost is in this place at the moment where he is very much alone — Angela is gone, his son Tariq hates him, and Tasha is exchanging her silence for money so that she can try to “start over” … among other things. He’s hard up and in a spot where one of the only ways for him to get back what he needs is to get back into the game. You know, the game that he once tried to swear off.

Can you really be that shocked by this? We have a hard time feeling that way, mostly because of everything that’s happened so far. Ghost’s backed himself into a corner and we don’t know how anyone could feel at this point like he’s got a good chance of getting out of this in one piece. It just doesn’t feel like he is a man with all that much of an escape route. He’s just going to keep finding people after him and he’s put himself in that spot.

This episode is clearly going to see characters trying to figure out their own futures without Ghost around, including Tommy and Tariq trying to build their own empires. They’re gonna realize that it’s not as easy as it seems, but we think Ghost in general is proof-positive that just because you wanna start an empire doesn’t mean you should. Sure, you get rich and often quick, but it comes at a loss and it comes with people eventually coming for your head.

Given that this is Power, you should go ahead and expect more death by the time the series comes to a close.
