NCIS: New Orleans season 6 spoilers: Eddie Cahill books arc

NCIS: New Orleans season 4 premiere

Want to get a few more details on the plans for NCIS: New Orleans season 6? We hope so, as there’s a lot of interesting stuff ahead — especially about family. While we know that Apollyon did have a personal tie to Pride because of what happened to Cassius, it was still a high-stakes mission that took him and Lasalle overseas. There could be some different plans coming up now.

One of those plans involves Pride going to visit his mother. We learned last year that this character was going to be played by Joanna Cassidy, and we got a brief tease of her at the end of the season. This is a story that will bleed over into season 6, as executive producer Christopher Silber tells Parade that this is something that the writers are interested in exploring:

“She is someone struggling with mental illness and she had a breakdown years ago that she never fully recovered from … We are going to delve into that past and learn how she got that way. That is part of the journey Pride will be going on through the season.”

As for Lasalle, we’ve also found out that he is going to make his presence felt in a big way moving forward, as well. After all, we’re going to have a chance to see someone new tied to his own family! The aforementioned site reports that Eddie Cahill of CSI: NY fame is going to be coming on board the show as an unnamed character who is tied to some trouble that Lasalle’s brother Cade finds himself in. There is no word at the moment as to whether or not Clayne Crawford will be back to play Cade, but it’s something for the writers to consider. Whether he appears in the flesh or not, he’s still going to be a fundamental part of the story coming up.

Is Lasalle going to be able to handle this? We know that the family drama for him started with the death of his father and some tax issues that he found himself dealing with and that’s only going to continue.
