Killjoys season 5 episode 6 preview: What’s next in ‘Three Mutineers’?

Where are we going to see the story going moving into Killjoys season 5 episode 6? For starters, the prison story is still going strong … and in some different directions.

Through most of tonight’s new episode, what we saw was Dutch doing her best in order to get some ground in the prison by taking part in what felt like its own version of Fight Club. It was a good plan and she’s a great fighter; unfortunately, not everything went according to plan. As the final ten episodes unfolded, it was clear that there was another plan and another takeover that was causing problems within the walls of that institution. What we imagine is that moving forward, we’re going to see the show continue to operate in a number of different ways, shapes, and forms — you saw that tonight alone with the big moment at the end of the episode.

Dutch’s prison takeover is thwarted by an unexpected hostage situation, leaving her, D’avin and John scrambling for a new plan.

The deeper that we go within this story, and the more likely it’s going to be that Killjoys season 5 remains all sorts of dramatic. We’re hoping for highs, lows, fireworks, and an ending that seems appropriate for the overall legacy. We do still have a nice run to go, and that’s way it feels silly to draw any big assumptions on the ending based on where we are right now.

The promo that aired following tonight’s episode focused mostly on the prison and a lot of the drama that’s happening around it — which makes sense, given that unless the hostage crisis is revolved, we’re not going to get to any desired ending. Think of this as a situation that requires a little bit of old-fashioned ingenuity! We’re confident that Dutch will find a way to pull something off … but plans are risking. This one could have undue consequences, which is something she should be familiar with after a number of the different plans we’ve seen on the series to date.
